Rookie Team Spotlight: Crack Smoking Monkeys

March 2, 2013 in AGLA by NOPLEX AGLA Admin

Hello! It’s NOPLEX back again with another rookie team spotlight. This time around we have the Crack Smoking Monkeys, and the answer come directly from their captain CopyBookAuto. Let’s see what he has to say about his team.
1) Where does your team name derived from?
It’s derived from a species of mammal that thrives in the ghettos of the worlds most popular cities. They have no shame, no value, no mercy. Lol, just kidding, I just looked up funny team names and found it. It was between Crack Smoking Monkeys and Hiding From the Amish. It was a hard decision to make, so I flipped a coin. Looks like we’ll be hiding from the amish next season.
 2) How did you and your teammates first meet each other?
I knew sneaky and ham from when we played in the GGL in the fall. anti and torque and a couple of other alternates I have I know from the clan I’m in, Team BroFrost. Of course when people see my ID thing in multiplayer, they think I mean broccoli…not Bro C.
 3) What made y’all decide to form a Grifball team?
I’ve always loved playing grifball since I found it in the Halo 3 multiplayer, and just have been hooked ever since. So with the 2 players I knew from GGL, and my friends from BroFrost, it’s like putting together peanut butter and girls in bikinis.
4) Do you have any pregame rituals or activities that help you prepare for a league game?
We  use to offer a sacrifice to the grifball gods. But we encountered a bit of a legal snag with that. So now we just joke around and bs.
5) How would you describe your experience with the AGLA?
It’s been good, we played one of the teams finally this past weekend, got our asses handed to us pretty well, but I mean it was good. We were all positive and laughing about it by the end, there was no negativity or trash talk. Now I just need the other 3 teams we are scheduled to play to get back to me…
6) Will your team be returning next season? Why or Why not?
Yeah I will be – I may form a new team, or keep my guys I have now. We’ll just have to see.
7) Do you think there are any changes we could make to improve the AGLA?
Serve punch and pie.
 8) Favorite games to play outside of the Halo series?
We’re pretty diverse, some like COD, L4D, NCAA Football, and Devil May Cry, to name a few.
9) What do you think of Halo 4 grifball thus far? What do you like and dislike?
The passing feature is great. It opens up the field a bit and allows you to be a playmaker. Utilizing and watching for the 2 on 1 attacks, leaving your partner down in the open. It’s much like being a quarterback. Also too it gives you a way to plan out your game and  come up with plays.
10) Do you have any closing comments?
I like turtles…and grifball.
